Benefits of Myrrh

MYRRH

Another one of our main ingredients is Myrrh.  In fact, the Bible mentions myrrh as part of a daily regimen.  Esther and many other biblical figures living in harsh dry climates used myrrh to soothe chapped or cracked skin.  Due to its properties, it’s great for anti-aging, skin rejuvenation, stretch marks and eczema.   Today myrrh is also used as an antibacterial agent.  Myrrh can also be a powerful aid to cure other skin disorders as well as cure fungal infections like candida and ringworm.

Myrrh is sourced from the gum of the Commiphora Myrrha Tree (a plant native to the Arabian Peninsula and Africa), myrrh essential oil contains several compounds that may help enhance health, including terpenoids, a class of chemicals with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects).  Myrrh has the power to increase the function of white blood cells, which is critical for wound healing.  It can also be used for minor skin irritations or wounds, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm or minor cuts.
